Consultancy · Strategy & Consultancy

Strategy, readiness, and governance — without the slide theatre.

Practical advisory for organisations navigating AI adoption. Costed roadmaps with defined outcomes. Governance aligned to EU AI Act, UK DSIT AI Assurance, and FCA/PRA guidance. Delivered in weeks.

What we do

Three engagements. One framework.

The strategy work itself sits inside three discrete engagement shapes. Specialist services — Readiness, Governance, Vendor Advisory — sit alongside as their own service lines, linked at the bottom of this page.

AI Strategy & Roadmap

A prioritised, costed 6–18 month roadmap with clear use cases, build-vs-buy recommendations, and defined ROI targets.

Use-Case Discovery

Structured workshops to surface, score, and prioritise AI opportunities across the business. Evidence-based, not speculative.

Executive Advisory

Board-level briefings on AI risk, governance, compliance, and investment decisions. Calm, direct, senior.

How we engage

Four steps. No workshops for the sake of workshops.

  1. 01

    Listen

We start with a 30-minute call. What are you trying to achieve, where are you stuck, and what does success look like? Commercial, not aspirational.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

Short, focused discovery — usually 1–3 weeks. We triangulate between business outcome, data reality, and technical capability.

  3. 03

    Recommend

A prioritised, costed plan. Build vs buy. Sequence of delivery. Named owner per workstream. Defined ROI targets.

  4. 04

    Accompany

Retained advisory where you want continuity. Self-sufficiency where you don't. Either is a valid outcome.

Frequently asked questions

  • How long is a typical engagement?

Fixed-price, 2–8 weeks for discovery and roadmap work. Retained advisory is monthly. We price by defined outcome, not by day.

  • Do you write code during a consultancy engagement?

Only if it's the right answer. Many consultancy engagements deliver a roadmap, a governance framework, or a recovery plan — no code. When build work is the right answer, we move to the Development arm with a separate scope.

  • How is this different from a large consultancy engagement?

We work in weeks, not months. Senior engineers and strategists on every call, not juniors. Pricing proportionate to mid-market budgets. Technical depth — we can evaluate the actual systems, not just the slide deck.

  • Can you help with EU AI Act / UK DSIT AI Assurance compliance?

Yes. Our governance framework work is aligned to both. We also partner with specialist legal counsel where contract language needs review.

  • What happens if we just need advice once?

Then that's what we sell you. A one-off executive briefing is a valid engagement. We don't manufacture complexity to bill for it.

Outcomes

The roadmap, the use-case shortlist, the boardroom answer.

Three engagement shapes, three different deliverables. The constant: a written investment thesis you can act on the day we hand it over.

AI Strategy & Roadmap

What you walk away with

  • A 6–18 month costed roadmap, phased by quarter with named owners.
  • Use-case shortlist scored on value, effort and risk.
  • Build-vs-buy recommendations with TCO ranges and lock-in cost called out.
  • A board-ready executive briefing.

The business outcome you're buying

  • You can present to your board with a defensible AI investment thesis, costed, sequenced, and aligned to the business strategy.
  • Stalled programmes restart with clarity. Speculative ones get killed early.

ROI commitment

Defined per workstream at the start, measured against your existing baseline, tracked through to first delivery. Most clients see the engagement fee back inside the first prioritised use case.

Use-Case Discovery

What you walk away with

  • A scored, prioritised use-case portfolio across the business — dependencies mapped, MVP candidates identified, dead-ends called out.
  • A workshop synthesis pack with named opportunity owners.

The business outcome you're buying

  • You stop spending capacity on low-value pilots and concentrate it on the three to five use cases that genuinely move the business.
  • Procurement decisions become directional rather than reactive.

ROI commitment

For a mid-market organisation, redirecting two months of misallocated pilot effort pays for the engagement.

Executive Advisory

What you walk away with

  • A written board briefing pack.
  • A Q&A handbook for the executive on the ten questions they will be asked next.
  • A risk register.
  • A standing follow-up call cadence.

The business outcome you're buying

  • Your board, audit committee or executive can speak credibly and consistently on AI to regulators, investors, clients and staff.
  • Decisions stop being deferred for fear of looking foolish.

ROI commitment

The engagement is priced as a one-off briefing; it is recovered the first time the board avoids a wrong AI procurement decision.
